She sat at the end of her driveway, kneeling on the drenched pavement as it rained around her. Her hair clung to her face, her clothes stuck to her cold and shivering body. Her normally bright green eyes were dimmed and grey, brimming with tears. A look of pure fright and sadness was on her face as she watched the point where the road was no longer in her sight, where he had drove down a few hours before, his car lights blurring red in the rain, and he waved to her. She had waved back from the warmth of her doorway, knowing she would see him again soon. She kept her eyes on that spot on the road, praying to see his car come over the hill and towards her again. The longer she waited, the harder it rained, and the more her body shook with sobs. The phone she was clenching in her hands slipped from her fingers and landed in a puddle. He was not coming home ever again. She stood up and took a deep breath, closing her eyes. Her eyes landed on the silver ring on her finger he had given her a day before, when he asked her to marry him. She looked away from it then back at the road, and she gasped when lights shone, a car approached. She ran towards it, running as fast as she could, wanting for that person on the phone earlier to be wrong. The car skidded when it reached her, and a woman stepped out, and ran towards the girl. She held her in her arms and hugged her as tight as she could.
"Baby, he's not coming home. Please, go inside, get out of those drenched clothes-"
"No mom, he's coming home. I know he is." The girl stated, still shaking.
"Baby.... the police found him. His car crashed. He...He's not coming home." Her mother said, tears forming in her eyes.
"NO!!!! ......NO!!!!!" She screamed, and ran past her mother, down the street as fast as she could. The rain whiped her hair and stung her eyes, but she kept running. She was going to find him. She stopped and looked up at the sky, then back at the road, and trembled and as loud as she could, she screamed his name.
"JUSTIN!!!!!!!!"
